Our Story: How O&K Began During COVID-19

O&K Integrated Farms and Agro Ventures began with two people, one dream, and a season the world will never forget. Having just graduated from an agricultural school and completed our National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2019, the two founders were looking forward to starting their careers. Like many young graduates, we were hopeful about securing jobs and beginning the next chapter of our lives. Then the pandemic happened and the world slowed to a halt under the weight of the COVID-19 pandemic. Opportunities became limited and uncertainty grew, but we decided not to sit back and wait. Instead, we turned to what we knew best: AGRICULTURE. We chose to invest in something that would always matter: FOOD. We started the journey with a small piece of land cultivating leafy vegetables, local maize and cassava. At the time, we weren't thinking about building a company.
